Scots-American industrialist Andrew Carnegie gifted 2500 libraries across the English-speaking world, a hundred on the island of Ireland and three in Belfast. Through a conservation-led restoration, Carnegie Oldpark is due to be restored to combined community and commercial use, as a home for local small businesses and a focus for community activity.
