Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBStudios) is an architectural and urban design practice with an international reputation for design quality, for pioneering environmental expertise and a progressive architectural approach.
The practice has experience in designing for education, housing, masterplanning and urban design as well as places for art and the creative reuse of historic buildings. FCBStudios started small nearly 40 years ago and, in spite of it’s growth to over 200 staff, continues to be committed to social and humanistic values in their work.
Projects include Accordia housing in Cambridge which won the RIBA Stirling Prize, a scheme which is widely regarded as setting a new benchmark for housing in the UK, Broadcasting place, a mixed use development that includes a new Baptist church in Leeds, Manchester School of Art and the new Ulster University in Belfast.
For this year’s Open House festival, FBCStudios will once again host an ‘Open Office’ event. This informal ‘drop-in’ event will host an exhibition of working models, images and design drawings providing insight into the development ideas behind some of their recent projects. Refreshments will be provided along with a ‘Dream City’ building block activity for children.
